Project Overview
Located in Bexley, Greater London, Beths Grammar School is a highly popular school for boys aged 11 to 16.
Having collaborated with developer Baily Garner on previous projects, they were keen to use our expertise early on in the Beths Grammar School project, working closely alongside Bower Fuller Engineering Services.
Our team were asked to assist with the initial design stage, helping to confirm heat loads, ASHP sizing and flow and return temperatures, as well as optimising the manifold locations.
As the specified underfloor heating supplier, Gaia provided a wet underfloor heating pipe in screed system, with a heat pump, over three floors of the school – including a large open common room, a hallway, seven classrooms and a WC.
Our adaptability was key in overcoming challenges, such as discrepancies in heat output values and late-stage amendments. We provided multiple technical submissions and design revisions to accommodate project updates and client specifications.
Gaia’s early engagement, consistent communication and technical expertise ensured the system met expectations in providing a streamlined, reliable and fully controllable heating solution for the school.
