Project Overview
Situated in Brentford, Warley HQ is a residential development featuring 330 luxury one-, two- and three bedroom apartments, spanning across seven floors.
The apartments are located in the former headquarters of the Ford Motor Company and are finished to a high specification – appealing to first time buyers, downsizers, commuters and investors.
The Gaia team quoted for the work in late 2021, having been approached by NCS Plumbing & Heating to assist with the upfront design and specification of the underfloor heating for the project.
After attending the site in late 2022 and early 2023 to discuss floor build-ups and decide on the best underfloor heating system to be used, we installed wet underfloor heating in 17 luxury apartments.
The original specification was for a suspended floor to most areas with aluminium plates fitted between joists. However, after further discussion with the team, it was switched to a 25mm grooved insulation system to all areas. This was due to an existing raised access floor system that had to be retained in the lower plots.
It was great for our Gaia experts to be involved in this prestigious project from the beginning, ensuring the most suitable system was selected and implemented to a high standard.
