Sunnyhill Road is the main access road to a residential development of 21 units – including 15 executive homes and six apartments – located in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
Working closely with our client MP Building Ltd C/O Chipperfield Land,
Gaia were asked to install underfloor heating below the main access
road to the development to keep it free from snow and ice – ensuring
the safety of residents during frosty conditions.
Due to our extensive experience in the design, supply, installation and
commissioning of underfloor heating and frost protection systems,
Gaia were the ideal partner for this project.
As the chosen underfloor heating supplier, our team provided a
system of electric underfloor heating onto mesh. This was installed
across 300m2, split into five different zones. A total of 3,500m of cable
and 16,000 cable ties were used for the project.
Having been involved in the design process from the beginning
of the project, our team were able to advise on the most effective
installation to ensure the project could be completed within the set
timescales and budget.
