Here at Gaia, the strength of our business has always come from the people behind it.
In this new series, we’re introducing the individuals who play a key role in shaping what we do and how we do it.
First up is one of our directors, Chris Alecock.
With an incredible 29 (almost 30!) years at Gaia, Chris is a co-owner of the business and has seen Gaia evolve from the ground up, playing a huge part in shaping it along the way by contributing to its growth, direction and day-to-day success.
Starting out as an Apprentice Designer while completing his HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Chris has built a career that spans design, retail sales, project sales, technical leadership and installation operations. This breadth of knowledge gives him a unique perspective across the business and underpins his role today.
Now, he plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day running of the business, with a strong focus on operations and performance.
For Chris, no two days are the same – and that’s exactly how he likes it!
From logistics and design to supporting operational decisions, he’s hands-on across multiple areas of the business, keeping everything moving behind the scenes.
And outside of work, Chris is a family man who enjoys long walks with his wife and their Jack Russell, Teddy, getting stuck into gardening and travelling whenever he gets the chance. He’s also a loyal Manchester United supporter… though he admits it’s required a bit of patience in recent years!
We’re proud to have such experience, dedication and versatility at the heart of Gaia.
Keep an eye out for the next instalment of our ‘meet the team’ series.
